Different Things To Do in London, England

What to do in London?

If your thinking of doing something different in London then there’s tons to do and best of all, most of it’s free! I like compiling lists as it makes it much more organised. However I don’t put things first in terms of importance, it’s the way I do things :). Anyway back to things to do in London, England. London it self is full of lots of activities, festivals, gigs, museums, sight seeing, clubs, pubs I can can on and on. So here my top list of things you must do whether you live in London or don’t. Even if you work in London I suggest you take some time out and explore your own city. Here goes my list!

1. The changing of the guards. It’s very wrong to live in London and not to have seen the changing of guards. You can see it for free at Buckingham Palace everyday at 11.30am. Be sure to get there early as it’s gets packed with tourists and stand next to the gates and you will get a better view. Oh, during winter you only see them every other day.
2. Whilst your there check out St James Palace, it’s around the corner. It’s the home to Prince Harry and William. Charles is out in the country now living in a eco friendly home, so you can see theĀ  boys getting up to no good! You can stand with the guards, yes those guns are actually fullt loaded with rounds!
3. Museums in London are FREE, yes free and are open to the public generally during office hours. Museums in London are fascinating, I take my kids there and you’d be surprised how much they can learn. You must check out the Natural History Museum and the V&A.
4. Grab a meal then take a long walk down the South Bank, it’s on the edge of the Thames so you have a wonderful scenery of London. You will find the London Eye and the tate Modern there too. When the weathers nice you will find magicians, clowns, street performers and so much more!
5. London has also lot’s of street markets such the famous Portobello Market, Camden Market, Spitafields, Greenwich Market and many more. Some advice, never buy drugs from Camden market! You will get mugged or be sold some rat poison!
6. If your a night bird, check out some of the exclusive clubs in London where you will find celebrities including Paris Hilton. if you want to do some celeb spotting hang out side Mo*Vida and you won’t be disappointed!
7. London Zoo can be a great day out for the adults. I recommend you book the tickets in advance and go there early in the morning. That way you can see all the animals being fed and no-one else around, so you don’t need to get stuck with tourists and school kids. Also all the animals are out of their homes and stretching, you can take some lovely photo’s.
This is one of the photo’s I took a while back when I went o London Zoo.

8. If you love music check out Commuter Jazz at the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank, it starts around 5.15pm and you can meet up with lots of other people as well.
9. Take a free guided tour tour with one of the Yeoman Wardens at the Tower of London, you can see the crown jewels and visit the gruesome, haunted Tower of London.
10. If you like a drink, visit Crown Passage in Mayfair, it’s off Kings Street and is a little passage with about 15 shops. There’s a basement cellar which sells a lovely good old English Ale.

Well there’s my list of things to do in London, England. Most of the things are free and every single one is worthwhile. Be good to yourself and explore London, by the end of it your will Love London!
