Improve London Underground
When ever I use the underground I can think of dozens of ways to improve it. I mean come on, it’s not state of the art and generally looks dirty. Yet we see an increase in fare prices almost every 6 months! Ever since Mrs Thatcher decided to privatise and sell off all key public resources, we now have to deal with strikes, poor maintenance and everything else that comes with it. I guess there have been many efforts to improve the London Underground, but all the attempts have faded over a time period. Also what is up with the term “signal Failure”, I’ve been using the London Underground for over 9 years now and that excuse is just lousy! I mean come on, 9 years and you still haven’t fixed a stupid signal failure.
There are many things the London Underground can do to improve its service. The most important things are:
Reliable trains
Air conditioning (China has it already)
Clean up the tacky tunnels
Flickering of lights that go on and off every time you pass through a tunnel
More staff for disabled passengers (Last time I had to help a wheelchair user, I don’t mind but when I looked around there wasn’t single staff member)
A toilet at every station
Stop charging for using the toilets at Paddington! Costs 20p to use and I bought a ticket for £97!
Small changes like these can increase the use of public transport. The London Underground bosses need to clean up their act!
